Video Me - Elaine and Stephen - 18'th September 2010 - Great Day

I had the pleasure of doing the wedding of Elaine Healy & Stephen Connolly on Saturday the 18th September 2010.

The wedding started with Elaine and her 2 bridesmaids getting ready both were named Niamh and that started to cause a little confusion ha ha. I was in the house for a few minutes as I had to go to the church in Johnstown Bridge, which was 40 min away Balyna parish. Fr Gerard Breen officiated and it was a lovely friendly and personal mass.

The beautiful music in the church was from  Nikki kavanagh.
Mark Whelan from Kilnamanagh Fotomark done the pics.
When we arrived at The Hamlet Hotel in Johnstown which incidentally was across the road from the church, we were met by John O Neill and his dedicated team who have a way that no other hotel has with there guest’s on your wedding day.
The day weather wise could have been kinder as it really rained just as we came out after the ceremony, it did not dampen there enthusiasm so we had do a lot of the pictures indoors.
After the dinner the band we were entertained by none other than The Usual Suspects and then they had the wonderful Irish dancers from Celtic Rhythm Dancers
And to round off the night Digital djs took them through till the early hours of the morning.
It was great to see Deirdre and Gary who’s wedding we did on the 23’rd July 2010, they had recommended us to Elaine and Stephen.

We all had a lovely day

Yours sincerely

The photographer was Thomas Anthony a family Friend, the wedding started at the church with the lads arriving and most of his side were from Cork.

The day was lovely but a little showery but we dodged the showers.
When we arrived at Finnstown House Hotel we were met by Cathy & Jack who make every wedding couple feel special, all went really great and we were finished the pictures by 5.45p.m. and were seated by six as there was a special guest appearance by none other than Keith Fahy (Monique’s cousin) who popped in to say hello after his goal in the recent Irish match in Armenia, they all really appreciated it and it was mentioned in the speeches by the best man, John (brother of the groom) done his brother proud it was one of the best mans speeches I have heard in a long time.
After the dinner we had the longest established and still the number one wedding band around 5'th Avenue took charge of the night.

Video Me - Vanessa & Kenneth - 6'th September 2010-Great Day

I was at the wedding of Vanessa & Kenneth on Monday 6th September, in the lovely church of St James in Grange just outside Carlingford Co. Louth this is a very quite country picturesque village.
The wedding started with both the Bride & Groom getting ready in the Carlingford Hotel so I was able to cover both of them, some of the lads leaving the hotel and then Vanessa with her 3 bridesmaids and the flower girls.

The day was the worse day we’d had for a long time, it rained all day and was so disappointing with all they lovely scenery we would have been able to use. Andrew Corvin was looking after the pictures and had his work cut out but he got everything and even got soaked in the process but was a true professional.
I myself had to take a different style of shooting due to the weather.

The bad weather on the day didn’t put a dampener on things, the good family and friends all 150 of them had a great time and the crack was mighty, Mr John Matthews banqueting manager from the hotel was on top of everything all through the day and right up to when he knocked off.

We had the wonderful lads from the band Goodfellas and they don’t let up, they have you dancing from start to finish.

We all had a great day despite the rain.

Yours sincerely
Cyril Fox.

Claire & John - 7'th August - Fantastic day

I was out Videoing the wedding of Claire and John on Saturday 7th August in the North. It was an early start and late finish with a round trip of 310 km but with the new roads M50 and M1 motorway there was very little traffic on the roads. The church was in Ballynacab Co Armagh, it was my first wedding to film in this beautiful church, the church was on a country road on top of a hill. The priest Fr. Peter was excellent and gave myself and Sara the photographer the freedom to work in the church. Sara Dalzell Photography

The wedding reception was held in a marquee and was very private, the marquee had two bars one at each end.
The evenings entertainment was a band called Cream of the Barley they are well worth checking out, they had the quests on the dance floor from the very start. The bride and groom arrived onto the floor and were encircled with family and friends clapping, we all had a fantastic night.

We went to the Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry were they were waiting to receive us with fresh bubbly and after a long trip it was well deserved. We had wonderful weather and got some great photograph’s which were over in no time and this left the couple loads of time enjoy the lovely treats that they had laid on for the guest’s, such as the sweet table and the choc fountain and something very different a caricatures by Niall O loughlin of Caricatures it was something that went down really well but the icing on the cake was the issue of Hello Magazine contact Tom at Three Sixty Design that came out after the meal this had photos of Francesca & Noel from their childhood and finished off with some wedding pictures, talk about a wow factor I had never seen this before, the night finished off with a brilliant band called the Untouchables.
